Catalyst Operations Partners: Experience-driven results

40 Years on the Floor. Now Working for You.

I didn't start in consulting. I started in manufacturing — running shifts, hitting targets, managing audits, and solving the kind of problems that don't appear in textbooks but show up every day on a real production floor.

Over four decades I've led quality transformations, driven Lean Six Sigma initiatives, built food safety systems from scratch, and turned around operations that were bleeding money and morale. I've held the same accountability your plant managers hold — and I know what it costs when things go wrong.

Catalyst Operations Partners exists because mid-sized manufacturers deserve the same caliber of operational leadership that large enterprises take for granted — without the bloated teams, the junior associates learning on your dime, or the thick reports that sit in a drawer.

When you work with Catalyst, you work with me. Directly. From the first conversation to the last deliverable.

Our story: From factory floor to catalyst operations partners

After four decades in manufacturing I'd seen the same pattern repeat itself: a consultant arrives, produces a report, and disappears — leaving a team with a binder full of recommendations and no idea how to implement them. The problems that brought the consultant in are still there. Sometimes they're worse.

That's what Catalyst Operations Partners was built to fix. Not a firm that studies your operation from a conference room and hands you a roadmap. A partner who has lived the failed audit, the ERP implementation that went sideways, the floor culture that resisted every change — and knows how to move through all of it because I've done it myself.

Our mission: Turning operational headaches into strategic strengths

Every engagement ends the same way: with your team running a better operation than the one we walked into, and the capability to keep improving it without us.

That means quality systems that pass audits on the first attempt, floor cultures that sustain changes without outside reinforcement, and results that show up on the bottom line — not just in a binder. We've protected and unlocked over $1M in client business value, driven $339K in documented annual savings, and achieved safety records in the top percentile of the industry.

But the number we care most about is the one that appears six months after we leave. If your team is still getting better, we did our job. If they need us back to fix the same problem twice, we didn't.

That standard is what keeps us honest. And it's why the manufacturers we work with tend to call us again — not because they have to, but because they want to.

What makes catalyst operations partners unique?

1. We've held the accountability our clients hold Not consulting experience. Operational experience. We've run shifts, owned audit outcomes, managed floor culture, and been responsible for the numbers. That's categorically different from someone who studied operations or consulted into it from the outside. Most of our competitors can't say it.

2. We are the product No junior associates. No account managers. No bait-and-switch where a senior partner sells the engagement and a 28-year-old delivers it. The person who walks in on day one is the same person who closes it out. For mid-sized manufacturers who've been burned by big firms, this is enormous.

3. We don't leave when the recommendation is made The consulting industry's dirty secret is that most firms are paid to diagnose, not fix. We stay through implementation — which is where every initiative either takes hold or dies quietly.

4. We build capability, then leave The goal is explicitly to make clients not need us. That's a counterintuitive business model that only works if our reputation depends on results rather than repeat dependency. Manufacturers notice that.

5. Our results are specific and verifiable $1M in protected and unlocked business value. $339K in annual savings. 0.07% recordable rate. SQF, ISO 9001, and BRC certifications. Zero major non-conformances. Two minor findings. These aren't ranges or estimates — they're outcomes from real engagements.

6. We understand the mid-market gap Companies between 50 and 500 employees are too large to run on instinct and too small to afford enterprise consulting. We built Catalyst specifically for that gap — which means our pricing, our engagement model, and our approach are calibrated for exactly that environment.

"We tried two other consulting firms before Catalyst. The first gave us a polished presentation and disappeared. The second understood quality systems but had never actually run an operation like ours — and it showed. William was different. He had done this work. He understood how everything connected, and he stayed with us until it actually worked. Three years later our metrics are still moving in the right direction, our people own their processes, and nobody's waiting to be told what to fix anymore. That's not something the other firms left us with."
